Sunset Roses 04:01
Dreamin of sunset roses Listenin to an ancient tree It’s singin me a song of angels Reminding me that I am free To live Hope Love Trust And grow Sing Be Who I’m made to be Walkin toward the light of tomorrow Listenin to a gentle breeze It’s singin me a song of angels Reminding me what I can be If I Believe The dream That he has given me Just reach For sky Never askin why Dreamin of sunset roses Listenin to an ancient tree It’s singin me a song of angels Reminding me that I am free To live Hope Love Trust And grow Sing Be Who I’m made to be

The Sound 07:57
As the circus leaves town Get familiar with my sound again I can breathe again when I bury the clowns Don’t know where I’m goin I only know today I’m tired of all the diggin Through yesterdays wake As my eyesight fades Things are getting clearer As wisdom reigns My dreams are getting dearer As I grow in faith I no longer fear it As I find my way I can finally hear it Don’t give me no clichés Just tell it like it is I aint here to fit Into another mans game As my eyesight fades Things are getting clearer As wisdom reigns My dreams are getting dearer As I grow in faith I no longer fear it As I find my way I can finally hear it If I’m gonna find my place I gotta step outside this – rat race I gotta breathe again Rest in my Father’s grace When the circus leaves town Get familiar with the sound again I can breathe again when I bury the clowns

If I don’t jump in real soon - I’ll just keep on runnin Take another lap or two – write a song or somethin I just wanna chill – with the Ragamuffins and prodigals – I swear I’ve had my fill – of hubris and self righteous fools A winding weathered road we run – we learn along the way Layers deep our fears can run and its only love that breaks – the chains Break the chains Resting in the arms of love – why’s it so damn hard To let the love come shinin through - and burn that angry farm Burn it down Burn it down Burn it down Some say you gotta dig – and jump through all the hoops Gotta find out what’s gone wrong inside – gotta get down to the root Well the root is far beyond my reach so Jesus took my breach My hope is built on nothing less then Jesus blood and righteousness I will rest In His righteousness So I’m just gonna chill – with the ragamuffins and the prodigals Real love will find us there – cuz He’s the one who cares

That Tree 05:36
I Wish I could sing to you a lullaby I wish I could tell you it's all right I wish I could find the simple faith of a babe I wish I hadn't eaten from that tree I'm overwhelmed by the urgency and then I just have to breathe can't catch the words that I need to speak just have to say what I see Chorus: Here we are many miles down the road still livin lies we been sold like a walkin bird don't know that he can fly still eatin from the tree - that's why Father warned liar lied didn't take long to decide and still today we play the game we think we're free in these chains Chorus: Here we are many miles down the road still livin lies we been sold like a walkin bird don't know that he can fly still eatin from the tree - that's why I Wish I could sing to you a lullaby I wish I could tell you it's all right I wish I could find the simple faith of a babe I wish I hadn't eaten from that tree

People walkin round like it’s all ok They don’t wanna know what’s on the way Resting in the arms of illusion Singin holdin hands with confusion The unity - of denial When fantasies and clouds are all gone Get down on your knees and draw some The strength we need – is not our own CHORUS Roll it up make it all go away I don’t wanna see this on your face Focus on all that’s good and true But I see things I see things I see things I don’t wanna know Swimming in the pot with the poison Feelin pretty good but it’s all wrong Everything - you think you know It’s covered from the top to the bottom Anticipatin’ thoughts if you got em’ The enemy – is on the prowl CHORUS Jesus help us through this nightmare Hard to tell the wheat from the tares Reel us in – set us straight Your Kingdom come on earth be done Your will as in Heaven But for now – we eat our fruit CHORUS People walkin round People walkin round People walkin round like it’s all ok

The strategy of my wanderings Lies in the palm of your hand The tapestry of your weaving Lies beyond my sight A drive along the freeway Yields emotional flow A rush like a rainbow As I navigate the trail of tears A perch among the rooftops A breeze through the trees’ hair Breath of life keeps me wondering And wandering through a life prepared The strategy of my wanderings Lies in the palm of your hand The tapestry of your weaving Lies beyond my sight

Tuck my heart away Cuz I don’t wanna cry I see many things Growing into troubled times But then I look away To spring-like clarity My King remindin me That I am in His hand Sometimes it’s hard to pray With this overwhelming weight Seems like forever For a while But then I look away To spring-like clarity My King remindin me That I am in His hand ~ Guitar break ~ The deeper in I go The more I wish I didn’t know Simple faith gets Hard to find Love don’t wear a smile Everyday I wear it on my sleeve The burden I taste But then I look away To spring-like clarity My King remindin me That I am in His hand

The Calling 09:33

about

This album is a "Best of" collection from 2009 - 2013. This five year period includes some of the tunes I wrote as I was coming out of major life drama and stepping into the music that had been on the back burner for many years.

About the time the music started to grow a bit, I met Scott Crawford. We instantly clicked and became Chiavelli Crawford. I have included some of the best that we have done together to this point to complete the snapshot of this five year period.

credits

released July 16, 2013
